Fall season typically runs from late September through early November. Practices are held twice per week depending upon field availability. The fall season is an excellent opportunity for new players to try out the sport and develop lacrosse skills (catching, throwing, cradling) and lacrosse IQ. It is also a great time for experienced players to sharpen their skills and stay conditioned for the spring season. The fall season is not a competitive season, meaning that there are no games on weekends, so travel is not required. Depending upon availability, a scrimmage with a team in close proximity to Mobile may be arranged to give players a taste of what games are like!
Spring Season
Our competitive season is in the spring. Spring season begins the first week of January and ends in late April/early May. Practices are held twice per week in the evenings. Games are held on the weekends, with most being held on Saturdays only. There are typically two or three two-day tournaments during the spring season. Game venues extend along the Gulf Coast from Destin, Florida to Louisiana. Travel is required in the spring due to the limited number of youth lacrosse teams in the Mobile/Baldwin area. The Mobile Youth Lacrosse League falls under the Gulf Coast Lacrosse Club, which includes teams from Daphne and Mobile, Alabama; Destin, Pensacola, Perdido, Niceville, and Gulf Breeze, Florida; Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and Mandeville/Hammond, Louisiana.
